Jill Ireland is a Psychologist with a special interest in helping young children with additional needs. Her primary area of speciality is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and children with a range of other developmental disabilities.
She also helps children who are experiencing anxiety and complex behaviour.
It was Jill’s passion for helping children and their families to navigate challenges and to enable fulfilled relationships that motivated her to become a psychologist.
She believes it is vitally important that parents are involved in their child’s treatment, and works collaboratively with other therapists, doctors and school staff to ensure comprehensive support for children and their families.
Jill completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psych) in 1994, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Studies (Psych) in 1995 and a Master of Educational Psychology in 2000, all at The University of Queensland. She has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society since 1998.
Jill worked as a psychologist for charitable organisations and Queensland government departments before establishing her own business in 2008. She is now proudly part of the Paeds in a Pod team.
Away from work, Jill is kept busy with family life and her husband and two teenage children. She also likes to read and catch up with her extended family and friends.
