Dr Robert Lopez

Dr Robert Lopez supports babies, children and teenagers with the diagnosis and ongoing management of conditions relating to the digestive tract, liver, nutrition and feeding.
This includes the treatment of acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, nausea and vomiting, peptic ulcer disease, abdominal pain syndrome, constipation, coeliac disease and more. He aims to help his patients effectively manage their conditions and, with their families, live full and rewarding lives.
Dr Lopez attained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2008, his Diploma in Child Health (DCH) in 2010 and his Masters of Medical Science with Distinction in 2016, all through the University of Otago, New Zealand. After training in Christchurch, Sydney and Brisbane he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. Dr Lopez is a qualified paediatric endoscopist. He is also well-published in regional and international journals in the areas of paediatrics and gastroenterology.
As well as being part of the Paeds in a Pod Team, Dr Lopez enjoys a part-time specialist appointment at Queensland Children’s Hospital.
