BLangLing, MSpPath, MPSA - CPSPAshgrove
Daisy Finlay is a Speech Pathologist passionate about improving the lives of children and their families. She works closely with children experiencing difficulties with swallowing and communication and provides treatment that champions their unique strengths.
Daisy specialises in several areas, including speech sound difficulties, language difficulties, school-age literacy, adolescent communication, and neurodiversity affirming practice.
Daisy has a Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (BLangLing) and a Master of Speech Pathology (MSpPath) from Griffith University. As a student speech pathologist, she worked in settings that spanned education sectors, hospitals, and private practices.
Daisy’s love of language and health propelled her into a career in speech pathology. She wanted to go beyond just knowing linguistics. Instead, she wanted to use her knowledge to help people change their lives for the better. With three children of her own, she has first-hand experience with allied health professionals and knows the kind of difference they can make. She wants to provide that same experience to others, which is why she is a speech pathologist today.
Daisy is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and has been a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist since 2022 (MSPA – CPSP). When she is not working, she enjoys going on adventures with her family and likes to sew and crochet.
