Independent health professional providing services to patients from Paeds in a Pod rooms.

As a paediatric dietitian Annabel educates and supports parents and caregivers to easily implement nutritional changes to help her young patients to thrive. She aims to optimise development through nutrition, meeting a child’s growth potential whilst managing and eradicating symptoms and stressors. Her approach is flexible and considerate, and always tailored to suit each family’s way of life.

Annabel has experience in a variety of areas including failure to thrive/faltering growth, infant nutrition, tube feeding, food allergies and intolerances, respiratory conditions including cystic fibrosis, gastrointestinal conditions including coeliac disease and IBS, neuromuscular conditions, nutrient deficiencies, developmental and sensory feeding difficulties, diabetes and weight management.

She achieved a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) at The University of Adelaide in 2003, a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University in 2006, and a Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in 2009. Annabel is also trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding.

Annabel’s clinical paediatric experience is broad and was gained at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Ipswich Hospital, the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide, and most recently in private practice.

She takes great reward from seeing her advice bring positive change to people’s lives. In particular, she loves seeing infants, children and adolescents thriving and empowering parents and caregivers to understand and manage their children’s nutrition needs with confidence.
