Occupational Therapist

BOccTh (Hons)Ashgrove

Amanda Ginty is an Occupational Therapist who has been helping children and their families achieve their highest potential for over 20 years. She approaches each client holistically, considering the whole child and using that understanding to support them in becoming the best version of themselves.

Amanda specialises in assisting children with complex medical backgrounds who are struggling to engage with tasks that are meaningful to them, such as being a student, friend, or sibling.

Amanda completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) in 2001 at the University of Queensland.

Since graduation, Amanda has worked exclusively with children and their families. She began her career in community developmental paediatrics. She later moved to the Royal Children’s Hospital, where she gained experience in numerous areas, including infants, feeding, cystic fibrosis, and oncology. She has moved into both senior and advanced clinical roles in oncology and now works two days per week as the Allied Health Clinical Lead in Oncology at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Amanda has always been passionate about helping people live their best lives, despite any illness, injury, or delay they might experience, which is why she sought out a career in Occupational Therapy. She specifically focuses on providing support to children because she loves how resilient and creative they are and enjoys watching them evolve with her treatment.

Amanda looks forward to getting to know you and your child and supporting them to achieve their best.
